The Multilingual Poetry Slam
The Multilingual Poetry Slam comes back to the South Ken Kids Festival for its third year running! A creative writing and spoken word experience hosted by performance poet and Modern Foreign Language teacher Michaël Vidon. Students collaborate with peers from different schools and year groups to produce multilingual poems to be shared in a Slam.
“Mature Nature? Ma Terre en guerre?” will be our theme this year. The aims of the day are to improve confidence in writing and speaking English and any other languages spoken at home or studied at school.
Everyone is invited to the Grand Finale on Friday 22 November!
Do you love reading? Take part in our Library Challenge and discover all the wonderful authors and illustrators we invited to the festival this year!
The contest is open to every passionate reader up to 16 years old. Simply pick up your Reader’s card at your favourite library, read tons of books from Colas Gutman, Emily Rand, Axel Scheffler, our beloved Quentin Blake or any author or illustrator mentioned in this brochure. Then, talk to your favourite librarian who will stamp your card for you. When your card is full, collect your awesome certificate illustrated especially for you by Magali Le Huche!
