Emily Rand is an author and illustrator living in East London. She thinks about her books as little worlds that she has created for readers to explore. She gets inspired by real life and the world around her, whether it is a busy city full of people, rubbish and daily life; a peaceful garden or a colourful coral reef. Her books include A Dog Day, In the Darkness of the Night and The Lost Property Office. She is currently working on her fourth book with Tate, publishing this Autumn.
